At Lafuente ®, for more than 45 years, we have been manufacturing all kinds of towbars, counting for this on a specialized human team and adapted facilities for the design, development and production of towbars for trailers. All our towbares comply with current European Regulations, 94/20/EC and Regulation 55, as well as with the strictest quality standards.

Mixed ball-bolt coupling Lafuente ®
Designed primarily for commercial vehicles and SUVs. It is a mixed system for 50 mm balls that also serves as a vehicle for bolt for trailer hitches hoop.

Types of Electrical Connections for towbars
Universal electronic kits Lafuente ®
The latest electronic developments applied to the car make it necessary to install compatible electronic components when a towbar is installed on such vehicles.
The Lafuente universal electrical kits offer a practical solution for mounting the towbar electrical installation in most passenger and commercial vehicles, being compatible with:
- BSI multiplexed cable systems (Lights with mixed voltages).
- CANBUS Data system.
- Check-Control (SFL lamp failure detection).
They adapt to the different lighting methods used in vehicle taillights.
The electronic kits Lafuente ®
They protect against possible faults in the trailer, such as short circuits, and prevent any failure or overload in the vehicle, taking the powered directly from the battery, independently of the rest of the vehicle’s electrical installation.
Automatically disconnects the vehicle’s fog lights when the trailer is towbared, avoiding reflections through the rearview mirror, including cases in which the vehicle has the fog lights and position multiplexed by a single cable, keeping the position light
Supports lamps that perform a double function through a single cable (multiplexed systems).
The universal electronic kit, marketed by Lafuente ®, is manufactured in accordance with Directive 95/54/CE with the guarantee of having passed the following certified tests in Approved laboratories:

Specific electronic kits
Some of these kits require coding to activate the functions of the vehicle in case of towing trailers or caravans. To do this, you can contact dealers or specialized workshops that have specific diagnostic aquipment with the specialty of trailer kit coding. Lafuente® makes an interface tool available to its distributors for coding these kits in their own facilities quickly and easily. For more information, consult our commercial department.
Electric kits
The electrical kits are the basic electrical installations that include the socket outlet, cable and fixing elements.
They cannot be installed in vehicles that incorporate electronic technology -on-board computer, CANBUS system, fault sensors, etc-, unless which must be installed universal or specific electronic kit.
The 7-pole socket outlet is suitable for trailers up to 750 kg.
The 13-pole socket outlet is designed for caravans, bicycle carriers and trailers of loads with more than 750 kg. These kits allow an internal electrical supply of the caravan, as well as the function of the fog light.
